On April 22nd, 2017, hundreds of students and community members will take part in an initiative to combat the AIDS epidemic in the greater New Haven area. The thirteenth annual AIDS Walk New Haven is a campaign led by Yale University’s AIDS Walk New Haven Board in collaboration with community members, local colleges and universities, and the Mayor’s Task Force on AIDS.
The event will begin on the New Haven Green where there will be numerous speakers, performance groups, children’s activities, and more. The 5K walk will follow a route through downtown New Haven. Once participants return to the Green, more speakers and performers will take the stage. Raffle prize winners and top fundraisers will be announced as the event comes to a close.
