1) What is AIDS Walk New Haven?
AIDS Walk New Haven is an annual 5K Walk to raise money for local HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in New Haven, Connecticut. The 2011 Walk will take place on Sunday, April 10th, 2011. AIDS Walk New Haven starts and ends on the New Haven Green.
2) Who participates in AIDS Walk New Haven?
AIDS Walk New Haven welcomes and encourages the participation of all members of the New Haven community.
3) How can I get involved in AIDS Walk New Haven?
- To participate in AIDS Walk New Haven as a Walker, simple submit a walker registration form, along with the registration fee.
- To sign up, and for information on being a Walk Volunteer, email aidswalknewhaven@gmail.com.
4) Who benefits from AIDS Walk New Haven?
The funds raised from AIDS Walk New Haven are donated to the nine member agencies of The New Haven Mayor's Task Force on AIDS. These organizations are:
- AIDS Interfaith Network
- AIDS Project New Haven
- Leeway, INC
- Hill Health Center
- Hispanos Unidos
- Liberty Community Services
- New Haven Home Recovery
- Fair Haven Community Health Center
- Planned Parenthood
Over $175,000 was donated from 2005-2010 Walks.
